How to order on CaterCow for the holidays
Being responsible for planning a holiday party can be an overwhelming, thankless job. Whether you have your 20 closest friends coming over or your office of 500 is celebrating the end of the year, there are high stakes for supplying great food, service, and booze.
Below are answers to the most common question we receive about ordering around the holidays to help you navigate catering, servers, and alcohol. Happy holiday catering from the CaterCow team!
1) How far ahead of time should I place a catering order? How do I know if a caterer is available?
As soon as you have a date and location for your party you should book catering! It's very easy to add additional people to the order once it's booked so don't let that hold you back. This is the busiest time for caterers and some get booked up as early as October.
When browsing CaterCow enter the date, time, and address of your event. If the caterer is fully booked on that day, our system will let you know and guide you to another option.
2) Can you provide us with a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for our venue?
You need to request a COI directly from the caterers because they are the ones who will be making and delivering the food (not CaterCow). To do so, when you place your order, please note in the special delivery instructions that you require a COI. The good news is over 95% of caterers are able to provide a COI when asked.
3) Can I order multiple packages at once or do I have to make separate orders?
For each package you want you will need to make a separate order. If the packages are from the same caterer, in order to avoid getting charged twice for the delivery fee please email us at email@example.com and we will refund you any additional delivery fees.
4) Can you provide servers and bartenders for our party?
Absolutely! We first recommend asking the caterers you ordered from on CaterCow to provide servers at an additional cost, most can accomodate. If you're looking for bartenders or servers "a la carte" please check out the packages below in your city. Most staffing requires a 4 hour minimum per staff and runs at roughly $30 to $35 per staff per hour
5) Can you supply alcohol for our party?
Yes! Many of our caterers can provide beer and wine as an add-on's, and some are able to offer a full bar. If you're interested in a certain caterer and want to know if they can provide alcohol, please feel email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will handle it for you.
6) What packages do you recommend?
We've created the Holiday Guide 2016 for you to take a look at our favorite holiday packages in your city like these winter wonderland cakepops in Boston!
